If a spiral never ends, perhaps my mind follows suit.
It goes and goes and goes,
The only way to stop it is to cut the spiral off.
Magically, the spiral heals itself.
Sometimes, it takes days to heal.
Other times, just minutes.
But if it’s just minutes,
Was it ever broken?
If a labyrinth is a maze, perhaps my mind follows suit.
Pushing at every wall,
Hoping the dead end is false, a way out past this turn.
Of course, the labyrinth never ends.
Sometimes, it feels like it does,
And maybe it does.
No, it never lets me out,
I’m stuck.
If a riddle is hard to solve, perhaps my mind follows suit.
Tricks are played,
My mind believes them too.
Naturally, I don’t know the truth.
Is what I am told false?
Maybe it’s true.
I wish for it to be false,
But I know it never is.
