Falling down from the sky
The small flakes are cold but warm
How do they fall from so far up
A pleasant, happy storm
When it hits you
On your skin
You feel something good
From deep within
Without it
You feel empty and dead
Maybe you’d just rather
Stay in your warm bed
Then it comes
That joyous ring
No school today
You want to sing
Thrilled, you jump
Out into the cold
You don’t feel weakness
You feel strong and bold
You build yourself a friend
Who will stay with you until the end
Made of snow, he’ll stay near you always
For hours and hours, days and days.
So when you see the next flake falling
Just know good things will soon be calling.
