Cassidy Gillis, Editor-in-Chief
Hi my name is Cassidy Gillis and I’m a senior this year at SHS. I started writing for Tenderfoot my freshman year and have continued to do so throughout my four years of high school. I started my freshman year as a staff reporter, became the assistant editor my sophomore year, and this year will now be my second year as Editor-in-Chief. Although I was put in the TFT class as a mistake my freshman year, I couldn’t have been happier that it happened. I have really enjoyed being a part of the staff these last four years. As it has given me the chance to write about and talk to so many amazing people in the community.
Outside of school, I love to take advantage of all the incredible outdoor recreation that Salida and its surrounding areas have to offer. I spend most of my free time in the summer biking our local trails and in the winter I spend my time skiing at either Monarch or Ski Cooper. For all four years of high school I have been a part of the Salida High School Mountain Bike Team and the Lake County High School Alpine Ski Team, both of which I am a captain of this school year.
