Hi! My name is Makiah Parris, I’m a senior here at Salida High School. I have been apart of Tenderfoot Times all four years of high school. I started off as a staff reporter my freshman year then moved to sports editor the year after. I am now co-assistant editor and have been since my junior year. I joined Tenderfoot because I wanted to get closer with the community as well as
build my writing skills. Along with being a writer for the school newspaper, I’m also President of National Honor Society here at SHS and an active member in Guidestone volunteering.
